The Linggiu Dam, situated in Kota Tinggi District of Johor, Malaysia, is a pivotal freshwater reservoir on the Johor River, specifically the Linggiu River tributary. Established in 1990 by Singapore's Public Utilities Board (PUB) under an agreement set to end in 2061, it epitomizes a significant collaboration between Johor and Singapore. Initiated during Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew's tenure, Singapore's PUB manages the dam. Surrounding the Linggiu Reservoir is an elevation averaging 358 feet. To counter water shortages in Kota Tinggi, Johor officials are considering diverting water from two rivers to this reservoir.
