Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang

Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang is described by Tourism Malaysia as the country's largest fully covered outlet mall. It's a joint venture between Mitsui Fudosan, which holds 70 percent, and Malaysia Airports Holdings, set just minutes from KL International Airport.

The mall has more than 200 stores selling discounted fashion, sportswear and lifestyle brands. Main tenants include Coach, Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren, Puma and Asics. Adidas runs what's been described as its largest factory outlet in Southeast Asia here, and Nike Unite offers discounted sports shoes and athleisure.

Because the whole mall is covered, it's comfortable to shop in any weather, whether you're dodging the afternoon heat or a sudden downpour. A Japanese-themed section adds food and lifestyle shops with a different flavour from the outlet stores.

Its location makes it a popular stop before a flight or during a long layover. A free shuttle has historically run between the mall and both KLIA and klia2, taking about 10 minutes from KLIA and 20 minutes from klia2. Check current timings before you travel, especially if you're catching a flight.

The mall is open from 10am to 10pm daily and has more than 2,000 parking bays for drivers. Weekends and public holidays are the busiest times, when shoppers drive down from Kuala Lumpur. If you're travelling with luggage, keep your boarding time in mind and leave plenty of buffer for the trip back to the terminal.

Entry to Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang is free. Shops, restaurants and attractions set their own hours and prices, and these can change on public holidays and during festive seasons such as Hari Raya, Chinese New Year and Deepavali, so check ahead before a special trip.
