Dark, poorly bedded and sometimes bioturbated mudstones and siltstones of the Singa Formation are found in these cut hillsides with pebbly and fossiliferous horizons exposed near the top of the hill. Fossils found in the more calcareous beds include early Permian brachiopods indicative of a cool temperate climate during deposition with other fossils such as bryozoans, bivalves, gastropods, ammonites, crinoids and corals found here.
