The Merdeka Textile Museum is a new museum inside The Look, the four-level cultural building within the Merdeka 118 precinct in Kuala Lumpur. Billed as Asia's first state-of-the-art textile museum, it's built around the collection of Sharifah Azah Syed Mohammad Alsagoff, known as Azah Aziz, a Malay cultural icon, journalist, and textile advocate who died in 2012. The museum is the result of about six years of development, with an opening targeted for 2026.
