Pulau Jong is an isolated island shaped like a ship and made up of the Chuping Formation. This island records evidence of the base of the Chuping Limestone which is rich in fossils, including foraminifera, molluscs, productid brachiopods, echinoderms, rugose corals and bryozoa.
