Eagle Species: Visitors can see reddish-brown eagles (also known as Brahminy Kites) and White Bellied Sea Eagles.
Eagle Population: The eagle population in the Kilim Geopark has been steadily on the rise. There are now over 500 wild eagles in this area.
Feeding Process: The eagles are fed with chicken skins. As soon as they grab the chicken skins with their claws, they start eating it on the flight itself, leaving no chance for their competitors to take share.

The Eagle Watching Point is a popular tourist attraction in Langkawi where visitors can watch large numbers of eagles circling the sky and diving into the river to catch their food. The main feeding areas are at the Kilim River area, which is part of the Kilim Geopark, and the water area near the island Pulau Singa Besar.
Visitors can see reddish-brown eagles (also known as Brahminy Kites) and White Bellied Sea Eagles. It’s a spectacular sight where large numbers of eagles circle the sky and dive into the river to catch their food. The eagles have terrific eyesight and can pinpoint a target such as a fish from a distance of 1 - 3 km.
There are a few Eagle Watching spots in Langkawi. It is usually a part of the boat tour.
