Taman Tasik Shah Alam is a nature & park in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. Open 24 hours.
Taman Tasik Shah Alam, better known locally as Tasik Tengah, is a 43-hectare park built around a central lake connected to smaller lakes, bridges, and shaded pathways. Located along Pesiaran Indah in Seksyen 14, it sits close to the Shah Alam city center and just a short distance from the Blue Mosque, whose dome reflects across the water at sunrise and sunset, a shot regularly picked out by local photographers.
A 4.4-kilometer paved circuit runs the full loop around the lake, taking roughly 1.5 to 2 hours to complete on foot, and stays popular with joggers and cyclists throughout the day thanks to consistent tree cover along most of the route. The paths are stroller- and wheelchair-friendly, which keeps the park accessible across different visitor groups, not just fitness regulars.
Beyond the walking track, the park supports a wider range of activity than most city lakes in the Klang Valley. Boat and kayak rentals operate from a counter at Tasik Tengah, gazebos are spaced around the water for shade or picnics, and it's common to see locals fishing along quieter stretches. Playgrounds and outdoor exercise equipment are scattered through the grounds, making it a regular stop for families with young children as well as fitness-focused visitors.
Early mornings draw the most bird activity and the softest light, which is when photographers and casual walkers tend to overlap. The park also hosts community gatherings and public events on and off, adding a social layer to what is otherwise a quiet, green break from the surrounding city.
