Medan Pasar, also known as Old Market Square, is one of Kuala Lumpur’s most historic urban spaces, located between Jalan Tun H.S. Lee and Leboh Pasar Besar. Once the commercial heart of early KL, the area dates back to the late 1800s when it served as a bustling open-air market for tin traders, miners, and early immigrant communities. Over time, Medan Pasar evolved into a civic square surrounded by striking art deco buildings constructed in the 1920s and 1930s. Many of which still stand proudly today, showcasing some of the best-preserved architecture from that era.
