Panggung Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, located on Jalan Raja near Dataran Merdeka, is one of the city’s most iconic heritage theatres and a proud symbol of early 20th-century colonial architecture. Completed in 1904, the building was designed by British architect A.B. Hubback, who also designed the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station. Built with distinctive red brick and Moorish arches, the theatre’s facade stands as a striking reminder of Kuala Lumpur’s architectural evolution.
