Royal Selangor Club is a culture & heritage in Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Founded in 1884, the Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur stands as one of Southeast Asia’s oldest social institutions. Originally a wooden plank structure near the Padang (now Dataran Merdeka), the club evolved into the striking mock‑Tudor building designed by architect A.B. Hubback in 1910 and rebuilt after a fire in the 1970s. The iconic black‑and‑white timber facade earned it the nickname The Spotted Dog and remains a landmark of colonial‑era architecture.
